Introduction
Snooch (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Snooch service, which automatically extracts and organizes order information from your email receipts. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your information.
By using Snooch, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. We built this product with data minimization as a core principle — we collect only what is necessary to provide the service.
Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of data when you use Snooch:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and profile photo (provided when you sign in with Google or create an account).
- Email access tokens: OAuth tokens that allow us to read your email. These are stored encrypted and used only to access receipt emails.
- Order data extracted from receipts: Store name, order number, order date, line items, prices, tracking numbers, shipping addresses, and financial totals. We extract this data from your receipt emails and store it in your account.
- Usage data: Log data including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and features used. This is used to improve the service and diagnose technical issues.
- Billing information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. We receive and store subscription status and billing history.
What we do not collect: We do not read, store, or process any emails other than order confirmations and receipt emails from retailers. Personal conversations, financial statements, calendar invites, and all other email types are never accessed or stored.
How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Snooch service — reading receipts, organizing orders, and displaying your dashboard
- Send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts, product updates)
- Diagnose and fix technical issues
- Improve our receipt extraction accuracy over time
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell access to your data or email content to third parties.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data with third parties only as follows:
- Service providers: We use subprocessors to operate Snooch, including MongoDB Atlas (database), Stripe (billing), and cloud hosting providers. These providers process your data only as instructed by us.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights and safety of Snooch, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: If Snooch is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before any such transfer.
Data Retention
We retain your account data and extracted order history for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible for 30 days, after which it is permanently deleted from our systems.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at snoochllc@gmail.com.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your order data in CSV format at any time from your dashboard
- Revoke email access by disconnecting your email accounts from Settings
